Bombillas

Bright lights. Loud music. Dancing. Laughter. Food. Friends. More dancing. on the weekends but especially during Carnival! I lived in Venezuela for almost two years and got to experience local customs, food, and religious observances. I met so many wonderful and colorful people in Maracaibo and later in San Cristobal. Such wonderful memories as under a blanket of stars in streets lit with strings of naked light bulbs the pulse and flow of a culture and a people came alive.
